Opening!!

Hi there,
Back from a rushed trip to Canberra and Melbourne, but it was a good trip away. Thank you Brooke for taking care of our farm while we were away. While we are on the topics of farms I would love for you all to know about Dianne's opening at Brown Gully this Sunday. Dianne has a very unique style that I just adore. Go down and take a look if you are around. Gayle

My Craft Space (well one of them anyway)

This is a little insight into one of my craft spaces at my home. You will note that I have not shown you the whole area all at once as that may be toooooo scary for you. My ribbons are in zippy bags in colours, this helps when you are after your pink ribbon you can grab that bag and most of your pink ribbons are there together.

Most of my smaller embellishments are in small compartment containers. Here you will find brads, eyelets, beads and metal embellishments and some other odds and ends that do not have anywhere else to live.

Above my workspace on a bench is tins with more STUFF in them. All labelled so that I can find things....most of the time.

Things that I use regularly are all within arms length on a lower shelf.

To TRY and keep my area tidy I have a very bright rubbish container very handy to throw my rubbish into straight away. Sometimes this works, but when you are on a roll nothing can stop you.

I hope that you enjoyed the tour!! This is my scrapping and card making space. I also have a sewing space. How have you got your crafty area set out. Love to tour your world!! Hint Hint....

Random post alert.

Something to ponder....

You don't have to brush all of your teeth.....

just the ones you want to keep!

So true....keep on brushing. I worked today so thought this may be appropriate.

Funky flower tutorial

WHO PUT THIS PHOTO ON THE BLOG???

Well now that I have your attention. I want to show you how I made the layered flowers using the funky flower punch. Scroll down past the chocolate.

These were the punches that I used, if you have different punches experiment with them to get different style flowers.

Punch out your flowers, I have used a double sided paper to get more contrast and add interest.

Wet your punched out flower.

Once the flower is wet scrunch the petals and set aside to dry.

Once the flowers are completely dry then glue them together, I use glossy accents as my glue but you can use your favourite. I find glossy accents has a very strong bond.

Layer the flowers, slightly rotating so that the petals are offset.

Keep layering the petals until.....

....your flower is complete.

This is a flower that I prepared earlier!!!!LOL

You can see the dimension that you can achieve.

I hope that you enjoy making some flowers of your own.

Happy Crafting
